For one of our clients in the retail industry, we are seeking a Supervisor Jewelry store.
Tasks:
- Achieves satisfactory performance results and coaches other associates to do the same
- Creates outstanding customer relations and influences all staff members to do the same; Acts as a role model for outstanding customer service to all sales associates
- Assists other members of the store management team in setting and maintaining store standards including, but not limited to, sales performance, profitability, associate conduct, scheduling and manpower distribution, merchandising and housekeeping standards
- Possesses and shares a high level of product knowledge; effectively demonstrates products; coaches others to effectively do the same
- Conducts all business in a thoroughly honest and dependable manner, including but not limited to all register functions, inventory and inventory control, special orders, price changes and handling customer sends
- Assists with and evaluates associate training and consequent associate performance that supports the company’s high standards of courtesy, customer service and job proficiencies
- Observes and coaches other team members on their day-to-day performance; serves as role model for job performance and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Develops staff to achieve the highest levels of personal performance with decreasing levels of direct supervision; trains staff and coordinates efforts to achieve goals; trains staff to meet customer service standards expected of all store associates
- Follows open/close procedures as well as exchange/return functions
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises all sales associates within the store
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer skills required: Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Inventory Software; Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Presentation software (PowerPoint); and Publisher software
- Two years of specialty retail experience preferred
- Minimum computer literacy includes email usage and Microsoft software
